- 4 cups beef or chicken broth
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- ½ tsp paprika
- ½ tsp black pepper
- Salt, to taste
- 1 cup cooked white or brown rice
- Optional: fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add ground meat and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess fat if needed.
- Stir in onion and bell peppers and cook 4-5 minutes until softened.
- Add garlic and cook 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and broth.
- Stir in Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Bring to a simmer and cook for 20 minutes.
- Stir in cooked rice and heat through for 5 more minutes.
- Serve warm, garnished with parsley if desired.
