Description

Sticky Honey Garlic Sausage Pasta Skillet is a bold, flavor-packed one-pan dinner that comes together in just 25 minutes. Juicy sausage browns to a caramelized edge, garlic blooms in olive oil, and a glossy honey-soy glaze clings to al dente pasta. The sweet-savory sauce coats every noodle with restaurant-worthy shine, while you enjoy minimal cleanup. Featuring flexible sausage options (beef or turkey), low-sodium soy, and a splash of reserved pasta water to emulsify, it’s perfect for busy weeknights and cozy family meals.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz pasta (penne or rotini)
  • 1 lb smoked beef or turkey sausage, sliced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup honey
  • ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • ½ tsp chili flakes (optional)
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ cup reserved pasta water
  • Optional: chopped parsley or grated Parmesan

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions. Reserve ½ cup pasta water before draining.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add sliced sausage and cook until browned and caramelized.
  4. Stir in garlic and cook 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk honey, soy sauce, ketchup, chili flakes, and pepper.
  6. Pour sauce into skillet and simmer 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  7. Add cooked pasta and reserved pasta water. Toss until coated and glossy.
  8. Simmer 2–3 more minutes until sauce clings to pasta.
  9. Garnish and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use gluten-free pasta if needed to make it gluten-free.
  • Sausage varieties can be swapped (beef, turkey, or chicken) for different flavors.
  • Reserve pasta water to help emulsify and loosen the sauce if it thickens too much.
  • Finish with chopped parsley or grated Parmesan for brightness.
  • Leftovers refrigerate well for 2–3 days; reheat on the stovetop.
