Description

One Pot Skillet Lasagna delivers a 30-minute, family-friendly dinner with all the comforting lasagna flavors in one pan. This lean, hearty recipe uses ground beef or turkey, rich marinara, and melty cheese for a satisfying weeknight meal without layering or cleanup. Healthy, quick, and easy to customize with basil or parsley—perfect for busy homes seeking a delicious, fuss-free skillet lasagna.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb lean ground beef or ground turkey
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp dried oregano
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • Salt, to taste
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cups low-sodium beef or chicken broth
  • 8 lasagna noodles, broken into pieces
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Optional: fresh basil or parsley

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large deep skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add ground meat and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  3. Stir in onion and cook 3–4 minutes until softened. Add garlic and cook 30 seconds.
  4. Season with Italian seasoning, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  5. Stir in marinara sauce and broth. Bring to a gentle boil.
  6. Add broken lasagna noodles and stir to combine.
  7. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer 12–15 minutes until noodles are tender.
  8. Dollop ricotta over the top and sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan.
  9. Cover and cook 2–3 more minutes until cheese melts.
  10. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • Lean beef or turkey keeps it lighter while still hearty.
  • Using low-sodium broth helps control salt; adjust with salt to taste.
  • Stir gently to prevent noodles from sticking together.
  • Leftovers refrigerate well for 2–3 days.
  • Can freeze portions for later meals.
