- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pastel M&M’s
- Mini marshmallows, halved (for bunny tails)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 F (175 C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in egg and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients to form dough.
- Scoop dough into balls and place on baking sheets.
- Gently press dough slightly flat.
- Use pastel M&M’s to create bunny faces and ears.
- Press a marshmallow half onto the back for the tail.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are set.
- Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a rack.
Notes
- Chill dough for easier handling if it’s very soft.
- Press M&M’s gently to prevent them from sinking.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or freeze baked cookies for longer storage.
