Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy and fluffy.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until fully combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until a soft dough forms.
- In a small bowl, combine melted butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon to create the swirl mixture.
- Roll out dough on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle about ¼ inch thick. Spread the cinnamon mixture evenly over the dough.
- Gently roll up the dough into a log and chill for 30 minutes to firm up.
- Slice into ½-inch rounds and place on prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden. Let cool slightly on the pan before transferring to a wire rack.
- Whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla to make the glaze, then drizzle over cooled cookies.
